Ali is a visionary CEO, civil engineer, and sustainability advocate with more than two decades of experience shaping the future of the built environment through innovation and purpose-driven leadership. He is the founder and CEO of Sustainability Engineering Group (SEG), where he has grown the firm into a multidisciplinary, international practice recognized for advancing sustainable infrastructure across transportation, urban development, water systems, and smart city initiatives.Throughout his career, Ali has led high-impact projects across the United States and internationally, working closely with public agencies, private developers, and institutional investors. His work focuses on integrating advanced technologies, improving performance outcomes, and delivering long-term value while balancing economic feasibility with environmental responsibility.

Ali’s leadership is defined by a forward-looking approach that emphasizes resilience, collaboration, and measurable impact. Matthew Ekstrom

Vice President of Sales

Matthew is a go-to-market strategist and growth leader with nearly 20 years of experience helping technology companies build scalable, repeatable revenue engines, as well as, nearly a decade of that time was spent in real estate — giving him firsthand understanding of the industries and workflows AI AEC is built to transform.

His focus has always been early-stage and growth-stage teams, replacing ad-hoc sales efforts with disciplined processes that support predictable growth. Throughout his career, he has built sales organizations from the ground up, coached teams through critical growth phases, and led go-to-market strategy across startups and scaling platforms.

Matthew brings a balanced approach that blends data, storytelling, and modern sales frameworks, while creating systems that scale without losing their human edge, and applies that same mindset to driving adoption and growth at AI AEC.
